Ilyushin 76MF is the luckiest version of its family to operate aerially meeting ICAO Annex 16 Chapter 3 noise and emission standards. PS-90A-76 engine is an innovation that is adds value to the Ilyushin 76 family.
Annex 16 states that the primary purpose of noise certification is to ensure that the latest available noise reduction technology is incorporated into aircraft design and that this is demonstrated by procedures that are relevant to day-to-day operations. This aims to ensure that noise reductions offered by technology are reflected in reductions around airports.
We are fortunate to operate such a giant aircraft that abides by ICAO noise and emission standards. While the engine has a huge thrust power of approximately 64,000 kgf for takeoff, significantly enhancing the aircraft’s performance and payload capacity compared to earlier models. Nevertheless, the aircraft act in accordance with Annex 16 for noise and emission standards.
